DRESS CODE

PLEASE NOTE:
- All dancers must wear cover-ups coming and going from the Deane Dance Center building
- Hair must be put up in a neat ballet bun prior to class. BUN TUTORIAL (PDF)

Kinderballet leotards: Capezio CC400C (short sleeve cotton)
These leotards can be purchased online or at the local Capezio store 5 minutes from Deane Dance Center. School discount available in-store, just register that your are with Deane Dance Center when checking out. Alternatively, Theatricals Cotton Short Sleeve Dance Leotard N5502C may be worn instead.
KB 1         ​Light pink short sleeve leotard, pink tights, pink shoes

​KB 2         ​Light blue short sleeve leotard, pink tights, pink shoes


KB 3         ​White short sleeve leotard, pink tights, pink shoes
​
KB 4         Lavender short sleeve leotard, pink tights, pink shoes


Levels 1-5, please wear a simple solid colored camisole, tank, cap sleeve, short sleeve, or 3/4 sleeve leotard.

  • Free dress last calendar day of the month

LADIES: 
Leotard color for your level & hip alignment belt (if required)

Pink or skin toned tights
Pink or skin toned ballet shoes (match to tights)
Hair in a neat bun, or if hair is short, clipped away from face

GENERAL DRESS CODE POLICIES
  • ALL leotards must be in a solid color in a simple camisole, cap sleeve, tank, or 3/4 sleeve leotard (unless specific leotard outlined above) with no sparkle or trims. NO bright multi-colored leotards or leotards with cutouts.
  • NO dark nail polish or any jewelry/watches. Only clear or pale pink nail polish.
  • NO loose fitting shorts allowed in the classroom (ladies).
  • In winter, tight fitting warm-ups are allowed through tendu battement only and are to be pink/tan, or another light color.
  • Short ballet skirts are allowed in pointe class.
  • If not in proper attire, dancer will be asked to leave class to change into dress code.
  • Hip alignment belts must be worn daily if required by dress code.
  • ALL REHEARSALS WILL BE CONDUCTED IN DRESS CODE​
For all SCB/DDC productions: please have a skin toned camisole changing leotard
DANCERS ARE ASKED TO FOLLOW THE DRESS CODE DAILY IN CLASS AND IN REHEARSAL WITHOUT EXCEPTION
