*All Dancers are expected to arrive dressed in a leotard, tights, and hair up in a neat bun
SATURDAY (PERFORMANCE DAY) @ The Center at 2300 (2300 Sierra Blvd, Sacramento)
SUNDAY (PERFORMANCE DAY) @ The Center at 2300 (2300 Sierra Blvd, Sacramento)
- Warm up class: 4:30 - 6:00
- Rehearse: 6:00 - 8:00
WEDNESDAY @ Deane Dance Center (Level 1 & up)
- Level 4 & up: Please take stretch at 4:10 and warm up class at 4:45
- Level 3: Take 5:00 class
- Level 1 & up rehearsals: 6:00-8:00

- KB through Level 3: Be at the theater by 5:30
- Thursday is a staging rehearsal
- Friday is a Dress Rehearsal so please come in full hair and makeup (if required)

- Dancers (usually in Level 5 & up) will be told on Friday night if they are needed this early and what time to arrive

SHOWCASE INFORMATION
These showcases are the 1st act of the ballet each day, followed by intermission, then The Story of Sleeping Beauty
SATURDAY: The Sac Civic Ballet Pre-Professional Company dancers will present several pieces including director pieces, emerging (student) choreography, and solos.
SUNDAY: The Deane Dance Center Student Division Showcase (a glimpse into what happens at all the classes and levels offered at Deane and the progression of the dancers as they move up).

PROCEDURES
THURSDAY & FRIDAY
Dancers will be staying inside the Theater on Thursday and Friday and parents are invited to remain there as well. Anticipate a lot of waiting time so please bring things that can occupy the children. (Please do not send markers or anything that may stain the costumes). Dancers will need to stay quiet with no running around. They are encouraged to sit and watch the rehearsal since this is the only time they will see what is happening on stage.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Dancers will report to the classroom building to the right of the theater. This is their dressing room. Parents will check their dancer in at the door and go to the theater. Parents are not allowed in the dressing room unless they are signed up as a chaperone. We will take good care of your dancer.
When the ballet is over, we will help the dancers change into their street clothes and escort them to the area in-between the theater and the classroom building. All dancers will participate in the bows, so please do not leave the theater early.
It is studio policy that dancers do not arrive or leave dressed in only their leotard. Please have your dancer arrive each day with their tights and leotard on under their regular clothes. After the showcase, we will help the dancers change into their costumes. It is advisable that they have a white or skin toned changing leotard to wear under their costume, unless the costume is a leotard.
KB-Level 4 dancers should arrive with hair already in a neat bun with hairspray and hairnet. Please do not send the dancers with hairspray or make-up (unless told to, generally the mid/upper levels). Chaperones will have hairspray if needed for touch ups. Make-up has a tendency to get all over costumes and is not really necessary.

FOOD & WATER
We understand that the dancers will be at the theater for a long time but we cannot allow any food into the dressing rooms (both classrooms and backstage for company dancers). Please feed the dancers a good meal before you arrive. There is no time to feed them during the show.
Water in a spill-proof container is allowed in the dressing room. Spilled water can be messy and mess up costumes without time to dry them before the performances.
